A medium level scratch during approximately the first 40 seconds of side C, and three clicks later on. A little light surface noise on another track.

 

Occasional crackling during parts of side D.

 

A little light crackling on side E.

 

Side F plays with no problems.

 

Despite the above imperfections the sound throughout is bright and clear. Some of the noise listed above might not reflect on the vinyl quality. I quote from the album notes:

 

“The master tapes for many of the tracks have either deteriorated or been lost, resulting in several dubs from disc. We have endeavoured to clean up the surface noise wherever possible, but please excuse any slight noise remaining.”  

 

Cover: VG, There are some light marks on the front, and light creasing on the back and inside. Medium wear to the spine and edges, and a small owner’s sticker inside.

 

The inner sleeves are included but these are heavily discoloured, and the records have been rehoused in new white inners.

 

Labels: EX-, A few light marks on one. Orange and white texture with Blue logo.

 

Insert: VG-, Discolouration on both sides and a tiny 4mm. tear on the bottom edge.

 

  This will be sent by 2nd. Class Recorded Post which includes compensation up to £50.

 

  All records will be posted in mailers with cardboard stiffeners. If the selling price exceeds £50 then additional insurance will be required. I always obtain proof of posting but if your item goes missing then I will not be able to refund you until 15 working days from the date of posting, as this is when Royal Mail class an item as lost. If your item hasn't been delivered after this time I will give you full refund after receipt of information required for the claim form.

 

NB. Due to disability I can usually only get to a post office once a week, however I will endeavour to post this as soon as possible.

 

A brief introduction. I have been selling unwanted possessions on ebay for some years now. I'm now starting to list part of my record collection which goes back to the early 60s. There will be a variety of genres and rarities such as 1st. pressings of "Up for the Down Stroke", "Let it Be" and "Threads of Life" to be listed in the coming months.

All records will be graded using the Record Collector guidelines (see below). If in doubt I will err on the side of caution. Every record will be play graded after being cleaned on a Clearaudio Smart Matrix record cleaning machine. You will not find expressions such as "Wow" "Best you'll ever see" or "Amazing" in my listings. I am proud of my 100% feedback and hope that will remain the case…customer satisfaction is paramount to me. I offer a 7 day return policy if the item is damaged or not as described. Record Collector Rare Price Guide - Grading System

(M) MINT: -

 

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. 

The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. 

Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

   

(EX) EXCELLENT: -

 

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. 

The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

   

(VG) VERY GOOD: -

 

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. 

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

   

(G) GOOD: -

 

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. 

The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

   

(F) FAIR: -

 

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.

The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

   

(P) POOR: -

 

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. 

The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

   

(B) BAD: -

 

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
