Welcome Back Rare Vinyl Fans & Fiends Alike.
HERE you will often FIND offered BETTER CONDITION RECORDS than many other
(visually graded only) sources offer, WHICH ARE FREQUENTLY TOP COPIES & VIRTUALLY new or LIKE-NEW
and unplayed or played very few times, AND/OR THE BEST COPIES POSSIBLE of many choice records.
Purchased: NEW. Close to immaculate & now quite scarce 1st UK 1971 edition of these excellent scintillating performances which feature this worthy sax maestro's trio augmented with a virtual who's who of additional top known UK jazz scene talent along with Chick Corea tickling the ivories. Yet more always uncompromising experimental improvisational recordings by this/these fine jazz zone troopers. Once again this player/these players demonstrate a unique affinity and collective mindset for producing such telepathic improvisation. It doesn't always work well but when it does like here it's absolutely glorious! Worth the price of admission for those who are experimentally inclined and not uptight or inclined to become prejudicially divided (as all of us need to be unified worldwide to stave off the stifling New World Order and their tyrannical diabolical aspirations to enslave us all). Beware and please don't be too square! Yet another LP I hadn't ever anticipated parting with but sacrifices must be made to meet my financial obligations & I am grateful to still have plenty to offer in the way of collectible vinyl!!
Cover Condition: Superb like new Mint front & inner gate-fold with crisp spine and corners except for the lower 2 which sport some modest rub-off, as does the bottom edge. Rear grades M-- OR EX with only the faintest ghosts of (ring)-wear on top & bottom which looks slightly worse in the photos due to some glare as well, than it actually is to the naked eye in person. Black covers are ALWAYS the most difficult to photograph whether they are flat black such as this one or laminated & glossy which reflect images including the camera holder. Still this is almost impossible to improve upon with no upgrade realistically required or desired!
Inner Sleeve: Original white paper poly-bag which I've augmented with a sheer plastic liner further protecting the immaculate vinyl.
Record Condition: Looks Superb Stone M with virtually NO hairlines/sleeve-wear and plays the same throughout both before & after cleaning on a VPI HW-17 with virtually no sonic discrepancies whatsoever but for 1 very light tick I noticed in one spot. I'll update soon with specifics by listening to the CD-r I burned of it on Oct. 5th 2015. UPDATE: Apologies to all watchers & viewers in neglecting to post this info. sooner as promised which I forgot about. I listened to the CD-r today on August 4th, 2016 & that tick I mentioned is on track A1 & constitutes 3 clicks with the first 2 being rather loud followed by a softer 1 sounding from 2:11-2:15 into the track. I'll further add that there is some very light background surface crackle for the initial 35 seconds on A1 & the first 45 seconds on B1 in the very quiet piano & bass openings respectively before the rest of the band kicks in, which is solely attributable to the pressing itself. Almost impossible to improve upon this lovely translucent ruby red jewel! This record hit the turntable very sparingly over the 4+ decades since I've owned it with it played no more than 3-4 times tops. This is excellent music here featured in some intimate musical settings providing some cosmic sounds that can send one into the stratosphere if they're ready, willing and able! So now it's your move!
Label Condition: Both=M with no spindle marks. However, there is 1 long very thin straight scratch mark on side 2 that extends from the spindle hole all the way across the label skirting the left edge of the D in Dawn into the edge of the dead wax. It's difficult to say what caused this mark but it is totally atypical from the norm as far as spindle marks go which are usually more randomly configured & seldom if ever stray this far from the center hole much less in a totally straight line as this does.

MY PRESERVATION POLICY on many records that I revered was simple and I share it with you now so that you understand why you take virtually no risk buying from me providing the album was bought new and not used originally. When I'd buy a "new" album and it was something I liked a lot and still available (most of my new albums were purchased in the early-mid 1970's!) I'd initially play it between 15-25 times to become familiar with it and then sell it to a friend as a still EX+ well preserved nice copy. (Adding outer & inner plastic sleeves was standard procedure additionally limiting cover wear and/or hairline paper sleeve marks.) Then I'd buy another new copy and in some cases if a particular favorite then yet another, meaning that I only played the 2nd copy (now my 1st) 5-10 times and the 3rd (now my 2nd if I kept 2) once or twice, always initially taping or now in more recent years currently burning to disc 1 copy within the first couple of plays thus significantly limiting play to this day on most of my lps. I did/do this with many single copy rarities as well so most play was/is on tapes or cd-rs. I bought a lot of CDs of favorite things also which further helped preserve my vinyl and limit play of much of it. Sometimes I also acquired rare British and European vinyl which I never saw imported in stores and sold new in the United States or Canada from contacts I established through mail correspondence during the 1970's. I developed contacts in England, France, Germany, Holland & Norway. Be aware that the MAJORITY of albums or occasionally 45's that I list ARE FREQUENTLY my ONLY COPIES so bid accordingly as you'll not likely see most of them listed by me again.
SO, MOST OF MY ALBUMS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT NEW, STILL ACCURATELY APPEAR VIRTUALLY NEW AND UNPLAYED, AND MOST WERE HONESTLY PLAYED NO MORE THAN 5-10 TIMES AND OFTEN ONLY TWICE OR THRICE AND ARE STILL NEAR MINT!! WHY TAKE THE RISK & HASSLE WITH RETURNS EVEN IF THEY"RE ACCEPTED. SHOP HERE AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT AND DISAPPOINTMENT FROM YOUR FUTURE E-BAY VINYL TRANSACTIONS NOW!
