Description

(1976?). This very well could be the only surviving copy of (Don Was and the) Traitors 45. If this recording was ever issued on 45, I couldn’t find any documentation of it. Most of us know that since his early days as a punk rock frontman, Don Was pioneered the abstract pop-funk group Was Not Was and produced records by some of the biggest names in popular music, winning grammies along the way. Well, every legend has a beginning and this “was” Don Was in about 1976 or 1977 when he was down in the trenches, rocking hard and taking no prisoners. I don’t think this is on any volumes of the Killed By Death series, but it should be.

Condition: Close to VG+ conservatively. There are some lightly visible beginnings of cracks in the acetate material but record plays pretty well anyway, with a little hiss and crackle at the beginning. Has been carefully cleaned. I do have a cd of this if the winner wants that too---sorry, no one else though.

USA buyer pays $5.00 (insured priority mail) OR $4.00 (uninsured priority mail) OR $3.00 (1st class-insured) OR $2.00 (4th class-media mail).

FOREIGN buyers $5.50 AIR OR $2.50 SURFACE. Item will be packed well in a strong mailer. USA PERSONAL CHECKS are OK if you don’t mind waiting 2 weeks or so to receive your item. PAYPAL and money orders are OK. I will email the winner. Thanks and good luck.
