For Auction: Morris Day and The Time – Ice Cream Castle LP featuring the added printed text “Morris Day and” on the cover. I’ve never seen another copy of this version of this album with the extra text. Since it’s a Gold-Stamped Promo copy I think they added Morris’s name since The Time was essentially already broken up when this album was released and Morris was already planning his solo career. I think when Prince or Warner Bros. saw this promo copy with Morris’s name on it, they decided to change it back to “The Time” for the standard issue. This is an opportunity to add a very rare and very limited issue album to your Prince collection! Here are the details:

Condition: All three vinyl records are NM and un-played by me although originally purchased “used” in record stores. The covers are VG+ to VG++ with the ICC LP having a very minor crease on the tip of the upper R corner, and The Bird single has minor wear along the bottom edge. Otherwise the covers are very clean and bright. See photos for condition verification.

The items in this auction were bought and collected by me when they were originally released. I am a long time fan of Prince and his protégés. Every item I am selling is original and NOT a re-issue, re-release, copy or bootleg. I am happy to offer my collection at reasonable auction start prices. Almost every record I'm selling has never been played by me, but in the case of promotional items they may have been played by radio stations or by the person who owned them before me. All vinyl records are carefully removed from their covers, placed in paper sleeves and packaged for shipping outside their covers with cardboard between and packed in special shipping boxes designed specifically for shipping records.
