THE THREE SOUNDS BLACK ORCHID Blue Note (BST 84115)
Up for auction is a nice OG 1962 U.S. Blue Note stereo P-pressing of The Three Sounds lp,"Black Orchid". One of their more upbeat efforts. Six standards and two Gene Harris originals. The stereo cut is the best listen of this piano-based trio music (and any trio music recorded after 1958 I would think).
DEAD WAX INFO: Side 1 has BNST - 84155 - A etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has BNST - 84155 - B etched into the dead wax. Both sides have the STEREO and the cursive "P" (ear) stamped in the dead wax. Original 1962 U.S. Blue Note stereo pressing with NY labels. VINYL VISUAL: VG and a bit better with some handling marks and light scuffing. Could use a cleaning.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG and better with GREAT fidelity (being a P-pressing) and a little extraneous noise. Best listen of this piano-based trio. Much better than the mono cut.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ at best with general wear to corners, seams and spine. Shows well due to lack of ring wear.
Comes with non-original heavy plastic Audiophile style inner. DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.
If you have issue with an item, PLEASE work with me to achieve an outcome that will be to your satisfaction. I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis.
