Description

On 21st March 1980, Hugh Cornwell was detained at her majesty's pleasure for a period of 8 weeks, being allowed to leave Pentonville Prison after 5 weeks due to his exemplary behaviour. The judge had said in sentencing that he was making an example of him to deter others. How draconian, sad and utterly pointless.


A few friends also thought this and decided to show their solidarity by offering to help JJ Jet and Dave put a concert on at the Rainbow Theatre in London on 4th April 1980.


This concert is recorded here over 19 tracks on 2 thick vinyl LPs. Condition of sleeve excellent and vinyls similar grade. The nerd in me spots that the theatre's name changes on the back cover to the 'Raimbow' 😄


Have seen many CD versions of this concert but not many on vinyl, a format which is still the best way to listen, enjoy and appreciate natural raw unspoiled live music.
