Description

The Stranglers second single Peaches b/w Go Buddy Go on United Artists Records from 1977 in the Mega rare original 'Blackmail' sleeve. According to an issue of Strangled Magazine in the 1980s there are only a handful of these in existence possibly as few as ten, so said a United Artists employee who was charged with destroying the sleeves as the band didn't approve the design.
Original copies of the disc were then sold to the public in a plain white sleeve until the pink peach sleeve was issued due to the songs commercial success.
Definitely the original sleeve and not one of the bootleg copies printed in recent years. Not pristine as you can see from the pics, but this was the condition it was in when I got it which I was so pleased to do as it is so Mega Mega rare. It has been kept in a (yellowing)plastic sleeve in a record box separate for the last twenty nine years.

The disc is the original  UP 36248 United Artists with Free 4 on the label which is in excellent + near mint condition. The sleeve itself does have slight tears at the top and 1 at the bottom under Dave Greenfield's neck which can be seen in the main pic below, some ringwear front and rear and creasing around where the disc was when inside the sleeve. It is however very clean, complete and original. If you're a true Stranglers fan you need this in your collection. It's a true piece of musical history.
