Description

Released in 2022 by the now-defunct VMP (Vinyl Me Please) Record Club in a limited, numbered edition of 1,000 sets. "The Story of Ghetto Records" is a deep-dive 7 LP set of Latin jazz/funk from pioneering Latin music figure Joe Bataan's personal DIY label Ghetto Records. 6 records originally issued on the label, the 7th of previously unreleased material from the Ghetto Records archive.
Copies of the original records are impossibly rare, and priced as such if even a "Good" condition copy turns up.
7 lp's of the very best in Latin jazz/funk and mostly unavailable for the better part of 50 years, meticulously curated by VMP, remastered by Bernie Grundman.
All lp's are still sealed, and housed in the original custom VMP shipping box.
