This copy of The Stooges – Fun House is the 1982 Elektra Specialty pressing, identifiable by the small “E” red label and issued in the original single‑sleeve, non‑gatefold format. It includes the Elektra/Asylum inner sleeve dated 1982. The jacket remains partially sealed in original shrink wrap, opened at the end, with a small missing section on the upper left front corner. The sleeve is bright and clean with no fading, corner creases, edge wear, or ring wear, and has sharp corners. The vinyl is glossy and play‑tested with no scratches, marks, or visible scuffs. Labels are clean with no spindle wear. A strong collector example of this early‑80s Elektra reissue of a key proto‑punk album. This second studio album from the Stooges was released as "Fun House" in 1970 setting a high bar for the "little brother" band of MC5. Call them hard-psych, garage, or proto punk, The Stooges were an altering force in the history rock with its earliest music before the rise of Iggy Pop. This 1982 reissue is known for its excellent stereo sound and is increasingly hard to find in true Near Mint condition — especially with partial shrink intact. A standout copy for collectors of proto‑punk, garage rock, and early Iggy Pop material.
