Here is your opportunity to own a beautiful pressing of the Fun House album from The Stooges.  This album was the second studio recording for The Stooges.  It did not sell well at the time, but it has gone on to become a landmark album.  Rolling Stone Magazine has ranked this album 191 out of the top 500 albums of all time.  This is LP is highly sought after and only grows in value and scarcity.  This particular LP is the very first pressing from 1970 on Elektra records.  This particular LP has EKS 74071 A RE CTH  T as the matrix number in the dead wax, on side one.  Side two of the LP has EKS 74071-B CTH  T etched on the dead wax.  Both sides of the dead wax also have the Artisan Mastering symbol stamped on them.  The Artisan mastering symbol is two drumsticks striking a drum.  They did some of finest mastering work in the early seventies.  The vinyl is in Very Good Plus condition.  The LP has a few light hairline scratches and paper scuffs on each side.  Side two also has a visible scratch that starts at the end of Fun House and continues through L.A. Blues.  I didn't really notice much affect from this scratch.  The only feedback that I could hear was between tracks and at the end/beginning of each side.  The blemishes are not very noticeable and will not have a dramatic affect on the playback.  The LP labels are in outstanding shape with only a few light spindle marks on each side.  This album will also include the original Elektra inner sleeve.  It is in good shape, but it does have a one inch split in the bottom seam.  The LP gatefold cover is in Excellent/Very Good Plus condition.  The LP gatefold cover has just a hint of ring wear on the front/back.  The ring wear is slightly more noticeable on the back.  The seams/spine are all tight and intact.  They all have a fair amount of wear.  The top seam has the most wear.  The spine also has some wear, but it 100% legible.  All of the corners have a small amount of rounding.  The bottom left corner also has a very small crease.  The top left corner contains a hole punch.  The hole goes through each layer of cover, but it quite small in size.  The inside of the gatefold is in great shape, but it does have a two inch repair that is in the middle of the gatefold crease.  This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve.  The album gatefold will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve.  The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts.  The LP will be positioned outside of the gatefold when shipped.   This album is ready for playing or storage.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I do not ship outside of the United States.  I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins.  Please bid with confidence.
