Description

The Steve Miller Band - Sailor 1968 UK MONO 1st Press CAPITOL T2984 Rainbow Rim
I have owned this record since from new and don't think I have played it in since the mid 1970's other than to play test for this sale. I have decided to sell records that no longer get played

This original 1st Presssing released in front laminated flipback sleeve with "Sold In U.K. Subject To Resale Price Conditions" text on labels. Black "Rainbow Rim" labels

PLAYTEST
It plays through on both sides without hesitation, no skips, no jumps the sound is liverly and vibrant, there are no clicks or pops or crackle on both sides (was cleaned with Disco Antista 2 Bath) apart from where there is 1 light non feelable scratch on Side 1 start of track 1 its approx 5mm long (1/4") only where this scratch exists can a light clicking that sounds similar to static clicks be heard (some of the music in this short section actually hides it) after this light scratch it all plays as it should do.

Record Grading

Mint (M): An unopened, brand new record and sleeve.

Near Mint (NM): Both record and sleeve are almost perfect – no obvious signs of imperfection are present.

Excellent (Ex): Very close to Near Mint but the record may have the odd surface mark and/or exhibit a few wispy sleeve removal lines that can only be viewed under the brightest of lights. The sleeve may have the odd crease, or some other minor blemish. This will be a great copy.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Will show signs of prior use (very light scuffs, surface marks, etc) but these defects will be cosmetic in nature. Surface noise, if present, will certainly not overpower the music, and there will be no repeating clicks present. No marks on the vinyl should be feelable to the touch. The sleeve may have the odd blemish or crease. Overall, a very nice collector’s copy.

Very Good (VG): Will play through fine, but the disc may have more obvious signs of use. Typically, these will be light marks that shouldn’t affect playback too much (if at all), although occasionally there may be a scratch that is feelable to the touch. The music will play loud and clear, although surface noise may be present. The sleeve may display signs of mishandling.
