Description

An original late - 1st issue of the 2nd album on UK Fontana from '66. Matrix 1/1. Likely pressed summer 1966. Please note that this copy comes housed in a rear paste-over cover. By this point Chris Blackwell's involvement is emblazened on the rear. His name and a rather cool looking Island Records logo at the foot of the rear. 
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition particularly given the vintage. There's a bit of light marking each side. Please note there is one semi-feelable mark toward the end of side 2. Thankfully, this pressing is heavy and I'm struggling to make out anything detrimental entering the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Wow - some bangin' hits on this record. And you need a nice early copy which is gonna deliver some serious bass tones on 'Keep on Running'. And this pressing does not disappoint - it is quality trough and through. By and large a clean player. The only track we had issue with was 'Georgia'. I'm detecting a few crackles here and there, and a couple of ticks in a couple of spots. It still plays very well - just not as clean as the other tracks on the LP. Love it! Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Nice flat and clean front - with just a crease in the top left corner. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process - just light handling/dirt in places and only minor ageing. Little edge wear and the spine is 100% intact. Nice firm openings and the cover retains excellent rigidity, in part, thanks to the heavy card in manufacture. Sweet!
