Description
The Specials - Gangsters - The Selecter - Original Hand Stamped Sleeve.
I have had this for more years than I can remember and it's now time to sell on to the collectors out there.
It is the genuine article and NOT a copy, re-stamped version.
This is the initial Rough Trade distributed issue that came in a plain white sleeve stamped by the band themselves with the words THE SPECIAL A.K.A 'Gangsters' Vs THE SELECTER. This stamped sleeve was limited to 5000 copies.
The vinyl is the Orlake first press that had no grip rings with fade out endings on both sides.

The sleeve is in generally very good order for something that is over 40 years old, although it has the name 'Diane' written on it in biro.
The vinyl plays very well apart from some minimal crackling at the intro’s on both sides. Also, as shown in the photo's, there are a few hairlines/scuffs which do not affect the play.
I want to be as honest with my description as possible as I know first hand what it’s like to get mugged off buying vinyl on eBay.
