Original UK 12" 3 Track Acetate on the Vocal Arts Label from 1966/7.
The Society were originally called The Rainchecks, they were based in North London and consisted of Tony Richie on Guitar & Vocals, Geoff Grimes on Keyboards, Del Spence on Bass, Steve Webb on Drums and Alan ?? on Rhythm Guitar.
The session featured on this acetate has never been released and was recorded with Joe Meek at his studio in 304 Holloway Road in late 1966/early 1967. This acetate came directly from Geoff Grimes who later went on to play sessions for several top acts, Tony Richie later recorded for Beacon Records with Del Spence as his producer.
The disc is in Good Condition (it has surface marks and plays with background noise and some sound drop outs on the third track).
