This is an authentic UK white label test pressing of What Difference Does It Make?, the third single by The Smiths, released in early 1984 on Rough Trade. Test pressings like this were typically produced in extremely small quantities (around 25–30 copies) for internal use at the pressing plant, label, or radio.
The matrix code RT 146 A-2U-1 confirms this is an early generation pressing from EMI’s Hayes facility. It predates the full commercial release and is highly sought after by collectors of The Smiths and 1980s indie rarities.
No commercial labels, no artwork – this is the raw vinyl as issued in test form.
