Description
On offer here is an original pressing of The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths, released on the Rough Trade label in 1986, catalogue number ROUGH 96.
Wonderful album with classic stuff such as Bigmouth Strikes Again, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, Vicar In a Tutu and The Queen Is Dead, but really all the tracks are great, no filler here.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition.
The picture and credits inner is in excellent condition with some light creasing (see photo)
The vinyl is in Near Mint condition with a glossy shine to both sides. The matrix numbers are ROUGH 96 A- 1U -1 -1 and ROUGH 96 B-2U-1-1. Scratched in the dead wax area on Side One is "FEAR OF MANCHESTER" and on Side Two "THEM WAS ROTTEN DAYS".
The green Rough Trade labels are Near Mint with one tiny wispy spindle mark on each side to indicate any play at all.
As is well known this is a classic album and is not that easy to find in this sort of condition, to my eye it's probably been played once or twice from new.
The record will be sent outside of it's cover in a polythene sleeve sandwiched between two 12" cardboard stiffeners in a heavy duty record mailer made by Covers 33.
It will be sent within 5 days of receiving payment, by PayPal only please and this is only open to UK bidders, thanks.
Generous postage discounts will be given for multiple purchases, please see my other listings.
