Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - 'Rank' UK LP With Limited Poster - 1988
Catalogue no. ROUGH 126L - Rough Trade Records
The first copies of the 'Rank' LP issued by Rough Trade in 1988 had the amended catalogue number of 'ROUGH 126L' as opposed to the standard-issue 'ROUGH 126'. These copies were distinguishable by having an official promotional poster neatly folded in half inside the sleeve alongside the record, and a silver circular sticker denoting the amended catalogue number on the front of the sleeve. The copy of the LP being auctioned here has both the sticker and poster still present and has been preserved in collectable condition (see below), and as such is a rare find. The item was listed at Number 94 in the Smiths Top 100 collectables in 1995 (see photo).The vinyl is in near mint condition, having no discernable surface marks or signs of having been played. The thick silver and black inner sleeve is similarly well preserved with no marks or damage. The outer sleeve is in strong excellent condition with only the lightest of corner rubbing in a few places and the faintest hint of 'ringwear' just beginning on the reverse at the top. There are no marks or writing anywhere on the sleeve and the all-important silver catalogue sticker remains unmarked and intact. The poster is in excellent condition, having no significant marks or creases anywhere. There is just some minor 'rippling' in places and if you look carefully on the reverse in the corners there are faint marks where it looks as though the poster may have been displayed using 'blu tack'; if this was the case, however, it has been preserved remarkably well and there was no real damage or wear to the poster as a result. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.

Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask.
