Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home. Note that my postage offer still stands. If you win more than one auction within a week, you pay only the postage on one of the items (see below). This can make a particularly big difference if you are an overseas bidder.
The Smiths - 'Shoplifters Of The World Unite' With Promotional 'Shoplifter' Bag - 1987

Early copies of this UK 12" release were sold with a promotional plastic bag which had the Elvis artwork on one side and the word 'Shoplifter' in bold on the other; the idea being that the 12" would be sold inside the carrier bag. These bags were limited in number and many would have been discarded, becoming the collectors items that they are today. The carrier bag in this case has been carefully folded and stored inside the record sleeve.The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, showing no discernable signs of having been played and having little or no surface marks. The inner and outer sleeves are in strong excellent condition, with only very minor signs of handling. The carrier bag is in excellent condition, being neatly folded and having 'rippling' in places due to its original use but still in highly collectable condition. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the yellow 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
