Description
Artist : The Smiths
Title : Hatful Of Hollow
Format : Vinyl LP
Rough Trade (ROUGH 76) 1984 pressing. As far as I can tell, this is the first edition.
Includes "Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd" on back cover, which was missing from later pressings.
Vinyl visually inspected under strong light shows no serious problems at all. Vinyl is very clean and very shiny. No scratches. There are, however, a few light surface marks that can only really be seen when holding the record up to strong light. This LP has been played a few times over the years, but it has been well looked after, and is in excellent condition.
Outer gatefold sleeve in very good condition...actually borderline excellent. Has been stored (and will be supplied in) a double PVC protective cover, which has helped to keep it in really very nice condition over the years. Edge wear along top and bottom is very light, barely any at all, in fact. Very light corner wear. Spine very good with only a couple of minor creases. Inner gatefold is excellent. Still has original sticker on front cover (Maximum r.r.p £3.99 etc...) Really lovely condition outer cover.
Inner printed sleeve is in very good condition. Some wear (please see pics above, which make it look slightly worse than it actually is) on one side, on the glued edges/flaps, but other than that...in very nice shape.
So, to sum up...very good/excellent condition vinyl that has been played a few times, but is in really nice condition. Excellent condition gatefold outer cover (supplied in PVC protective sleeve) and very good inner sleeve that has a little bit of wear on one side...but nothing too serious.
For Smiths collectors, this is a great one to go for....first edition (so far as I can tell) and very well looked after too !
