Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - Two Original Dutch Pressing 7" Singles - 1986
Catalogue nos. MD 5282, MD 5285 - Megadisc/Rough Trade
These 7" singles were issued for the market in Holland on the 'Megadisc' label under license from Rough Trade, and, as such, each have unique sleeves and labels. The 'Ask' sleeve has the 'Megadisc' logo in the top right on the reverse, as well as text explaining the licensing arrangement between Rough Trade and Megadisc at the bottom. The record labels have "Made In Holland" around the rim, as well as both the "MD 5282" and "RT 194" catalogue numbers and, inconsistently, "Made In England" at the bottom. In the case of 'Panic', the sleeve also has the 'Megadisc' logo printed on it as well as the licensing and distribution details. The label is a black/white colour scheme and has the 'MD 5285' catalogue number only. These Dutch pressings are not easy to find, and are now becoming very collectable.The vinyl and labels for 'Panic' are in strong excellent condition, with just some superficial surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl in a few places. The record is in the as-issued 'large centre hole' jukebox format. The thin delicate outer sleeve is also in strong excellent condition, with no creasing or seam-splitting. There is just some mild 'corner wear' in a few places and faint 'ring wear' due to the record having pressed lightly upon the sleeve. The vinyl and labels for 'Ask' are also in strong excellent condition, and the record is again in the as-issued 'large centre hole' jukebox format. The outer sleeve has no creases but does have some mild 'rippling' all over and there are several very small circular patches in which the surface of the paper sleeve has been broken and is therefore in very good condition. Apart from this, there is no significant edge or corner wear and there is no seam-splitting or writing. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the items themselves.

Please do consider paying the extra 70p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask.
