For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

This auction is for an original 1987 German coloured-vinyl pressing of the terrific Smiths single 'Shoplifters Of The World Unite' on beautiful 'marbled' green vinyl. Such 1980s German coloured vinyl pressings have now become highly sought-after amongst collectors owing to their increasing scarcity and the impressive nature of the vinyl itself. This is not a recent bootleg pressing, which are sometimes also pressed on brightly-coloured vinyl, but an original pressing that was issued while The Smiths were still together. This copy is super-rare in that it has been stored still sealed in its original shrink-wrap, and is therefore in an effectively as-new state after almost thirty years! Although there were actually two different coloured vinyl pressings in Germany for this 12" single, one pink-marbled and one green-marbled vinyl, it is believed that this is the latter due to being purchased in a batch of the same type of pressing of which others have proved to be green-marbled vinyl pressings. Since it retains its original shrink-wrap, the original circular import sticker (see photos) is still present; this being usually discarded due to its attachment to the outside of the shrink-wrap. This is clearly a very desirable original pressing amongst Smiths collectors; and this copy is a truly outstanding example in what is effectively its 'brand new' state.

The record itself is in new and fully mint condition, being still sealed in its original packaging and therefore never handled. The outer sleeve is also in mint condition below the original cellophane packaging; there are no creases or writing on the outer shrink-wrap. The corners and edges are all sharp beneath the plastic and there is no seam-splitting anywhere. Furthermore, there are no tears in the outer shrink-wrap. This is truly a superb example of this collectable rarity. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.

I offer a money-back guarantee if anything is described incorrectly. Postage and Packing is 3.90 in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, this is subsidised by myself and the actual costs to me will usually be higher. Please do consider paying the extra 90p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. Extra items are sent at no extra postage charge to the buyer (see below). I always take great care to package items well with strong mailing materials.
