Description
An original October 1981 UK first pressing of Return of the Giant Slits by The Slits on CBS Records (CBS 85269).
Media Condition:
The vinyl grades VG+. Side 1 has a 5" area of slight surface unevenness extending through Track 1; this was played through with no issue. Side 2 has scattered superficial sleeve lines that cannot be felt with a fingernail, along with some unevenness in an approximately 2" section of Track 3, which was also played through with no issue. Overall, the record is in great shape and presents very well.
Cover Condition:
The jacket grades VG+. The front has a 3" × 3" sticker in the upper right corner reading "Includes 'Earthbeat' & 'Difficult Fun'." There is light ring wear developing toward the top and bottom edges, light corner and edge wear, and 4-5 minor wrinkles extending from the spine on each side, each less than 0.5" and often difficult to see. Original inner sleeve included.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned prior to listing. For shipping and preservation, the LP will be placed in a new rice paper inner sleeve and shipped outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits. The jacket will be protected in a clear outer sleeve.
Please note that records are visually graded unless otherwise noted in the listing description. I follow the Goldmine grading standard and generally do not sell media below VG condition. Under the Goldmine standard, VG records remain enjoyable listening copies with expected cosmetic wear but no major defects affecting play.
I occasionally use designations such as VG++ or VG+ (low) to provide additional clarity, as I believe the VG+ category covers a very broad range of conditions. I grade conservatively and spend considerable time inspecting and documenting each record so buyers know exactly what to expect. I am happy to play-test any record upon request prior to purchase.
If I have made a material grading error, I will gladly accept a return and make it right.
