DESCRIPTION: The Shangri-Las- Leader Of The pack. 1ST UK press with machine stamped matrix ending A1/B1, front laminated G&L sleeve and original Pye advertising inner. Very clean sleeve and vinyl. Looks and sounds great. Fantastic music. My own copy for years until a very recent upgrade. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Red Bird RB20 101 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1965 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is clean with a nice sheen. Played all of side 1 (I can never resist) and some of side 2 of this today on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent. Music is clear, clean and loud. Cover is in really nice shape. Really close to EX. It is firm and square and has less than light edge wear, light corner wear and minimal creasing. It has "KS4" printed on rear sleeve in top LH corner and really faint rippling to front bottom RH corner. Still I personally would not be too upset if i had bought this graded EX. Check out the photos. Original Pye advertising inner has a split to one of 3 edges and the LP title written to one side of top edge. I still think it looks the part. Easily the cleanest Red Bird labels I have seen for this LP, including my own upgraded copy. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER BEATLES/PUNK/METAL/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
