This early 2nd pressing of their debut album is on the deep-groove red Decca label: LK.4605

Label details indicate this copy dates from Spring 1964, just after the initial 1st issue:

The publishing credit for the song 'Honest I Do' is 'Cromwell Music'

The presence of the 'Recording First Published 1964' text with a 'KT' purchase tax code opposite.

The songwriting credit for 'Honest I Do' is credited to 'Hurran, Calvert'

Track 4 is titled as 'I Need You Baby'


Matrix numbers: XARL-6271-1A & XARL-6272-3A

Side 2 plays the long version of 'Tell Me'.

This '3A' cutting was the first correction after the initial 1A/2A cuts which contained the short version of that track.

Stamper codes: 2,B/BM & 2,B/BK

Vinyl weight: 146g


Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback cover 'Printed in England' & complete with original poly-lined inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Disc: VERY GOOD

Played many times but still in respectable condition and without any major faults.

Both labels are clean with numerous light spindle trails. The playing surfaces are clean with little more than a few superficial light marks beneath halogen light but nothing we could call a scratch. The sound is raw and powerful with light vinyl background between tracks and on quiter passages but no clicks, pops, jumps or any other similar distractions.

Cover: EXCELLENT

A very fine example of this striking cover with light handling wear only.

The front panel is clean & glossy with some small edge wrinkles and a faint disc impression but no rubbing or loss of shine. The corners and opening edges are in nice shape with no tears or feathering. The exposed rear panel is very white and displaying nothing more than a few aged fingerprints towards the opening edge. Both flipbacks, seams and the spine are all fully intact and unworn
