THE ROLLING STONES - 'THE ROLLING STONES'
This wonderful sounding copy of their debut LP dates from the summer of 1964.
It is on the deep-grooved, unboxed red & silver Decca label: LK. 4605
Matrix numbers: XARL-6271-2A & XARL-6272-3A
Stamper codes: 3B/UH & 1/M
Disc weight: 133g
The disc is housed within front laminated mono cover 'Printed in England' and with 'I Need You Baby' listed as track 4 on side 1.
Complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A vivid & unblemished set with just a small collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Extremely clean and glossy playing surfaces which are totally free from any surface marks or wear in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless and faint inner-sleeve storage marks but no further significant signs of wear. Both sides of this well-looked after disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
Incredible raw and powerful sound from every single track which plays with an energy missing from any subsequent pressing of this amazing album. Every track is completely free from any groove/playwear distortion. Both run-ins and all bands play silently with not a single click, tick, pop or any other audible distraction anywhere. You will not be disappointed with the sound on this copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this fragile cover which is hard to find in anything approaching this condition. The iconic front panel is perfectly clean and retains all of its high-gloss finish with just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle and a faint, unavoidable light disc impression but no other signs of its 47 years. All edges are square & unbumped and both opening edges are sharp and unworn. The exposed rear panel is extremely clean & unblemished with no writing or any missing paper. Both seams are smooth and unstressed and the spine fully laminated and worded along its entire length.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some light storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
