Description

An original 1st press of TTPD on the UK Decca label from 1969. Matrix 1W/2W - very 1st press. Stampers 1-I/1-K  -which suggests this copy comes from within the first 5,000 to roll of the press. Please note label design is consistent with earliest 1st press - those tape numbers are still inverted. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original hexagonal shaped gatefold cover. Also included is the original hexagon shaped inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very ncie and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A very solid performance all the way through with little issue. Interference is both minor and infrequent. We couldn't detect more than a touch of light static momentarily in 'Rainbow' and once or twice in 'Ruby Tuesday'. Other than that expect a clean rendition for the remainder of the LP. An impressive rendition of this classic collection of some of the STONE best material.
Cover (Ex) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. The first thing to mention on the front & back is that all colours seem very clear and vivid with no ageing or laminate bubbling. There's no creasing at all either - so this specimen is preserved far better than most other examples that surface. The interior looks fine - no issues at all. Edge wear is relatively light for this title and the spine is well preserved with all text still fully legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) No tears or splits and unaged.
