Description
A 1st Issue of 'Their Satanic Majesties' on the UK Decca label from 1967. Matrix 1P/T2-1K. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue Mono lenticular cover. There's no original inner sleeve unfortunately. This copy is likely to interest someone looking for that original Mono pressing without having to shell out a fortune...
Cover (Vg+) In nice condition and has been looked after down the years. The front is exhibiting a touch of ageing at the extremes and a crease on the right hand side. The lenticular image is in very decent condition - no problems at all. The interior and rear are in equally good condition. Light edge wear. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover maintains excellent rigidity.
Vinyl (Vg) In nice condition despite having seen moderate to heavy use. This copy does exhibit a number of marks one or two of which are feelable. So, please bear this in mind if you consider purchasing. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD level of playback with a couple of deviations. Do expect some regular interference. It's never really what I'd call invasive, but it is audible so, again, please do be aware. The one deviation is '2000 Man' in which there's a couple of brief non-repeating skips. I have to say overall it plays through very decently, but clearly will not suit someone who is a hifi purist. You need to appreciate the music and the heritage of this LP first and foremostly.
