From 1980: The Rolling Stone's Sticky Fingers MFSL 1-060. 1/2 speed mastered from the original master tapes made in 1971. Pressed on pure, virgin Japanese vinyl which is translucent (looks black but you can see thru it if you hold it up to the light). A great copy with all the inserts, including the advertising stiffener and MFSL reply card. Inserts are all in fine EX+ shape. The glossy lyric insert is in fine VG+ shape for a bit of minor wrinkling (it's not heavy stock like a UK record would be), but looks great and is sharp and clean otherwise. The photo above has shadows across the tongue image from the dirty window and blinds I was getting light from - it has bright clean white, red and black in real life, not shadowed like in the picture
The Vinyl: super clean NM overall, with no marks and great sheen -it plays like it looks as well, very dynamic on super quiet vinyl. There are a few subtle spindle marks that you can see in bright light if you look hard, otherwise very clean.
The Cover: A solid VG+ plus for being completly intact and straight with no splits or wrinkles and a nice spine. Negatives are a small wrinkle and some wear at the top spine corner and some slight wear at the top open corner. Overall clean, nice and straight otherwise.
Feel free to ask questions!
I package well for transport, with LPs in anti-static sleeves next to cover both inside a poly protector sleeve -the same way I store them. Original inner sleeves stored inside cover. Padded with bubble wrap or similar inside a cardboard media mailer with an extra cardboard slice or bubble filler etc. inside for extra protection. Whatever I make on the shipping doesn't cover the labor considering the effort put into packaging and getting it to the P.O. ASAP.
PayPal only.
GRADING: I basically will not list an item unless it has bang for the buck value and generally worth the effort. With an emphasis on play quality unless noted I see no reason to mess around with a disc less than VG to M, except for the rare exception. I grade per Goldmine accepted standards and try to stay conservative. VG+ is the same as EX per Goldmine, My variation is that if I use the EX than it is strongly better than just VG plus, more of a VG++ meaning the marks are few, inaudible and the record has better sheen. To convey something more as the record approaches better quality in the NM range is to say: EX+ which just means 'damn close to NM' which is just my variation of their guidelines. NM is pretty much perfect and may as well be mint in my book. Mint is the knowledge of the disc having 1 or 2 plays or less. Sealed is self explanatory. If the record requires detailed explanation I try to give it. I will try to list items worth the effort. so VG, VG+, VG++, EX and EX+ then NM and M. I just think there should be more gradations of grade terms to convey the grey area between VG+ and M. Some people use M- and I won't. This is kind of an arbitrary process overall depending on who is doing it so I try to grade conservatively with very bright light and provide a play grade where possible.
Selling off a good portion of my collection so stay tuned.
I have auctioned on Ebay before in 2006 under the name 'pattyattywatty' (my girlfriend) with good feedback and no returns. Check my recent feedback for more recent auctions.
U.S. ONLY this time around !: I add tracking and will give breaks on combined mailing: one single or two LP purchases ships at single item cost, beyond that I can do up to 3 items for $4.75. For more than 3 LPs the cost would be something like a $1.25 per disc beyond In multiple purchase situations please inform me if you are waiting on another item to end- it makes it all easier. For quantity of more than 3 OR ANY OTHER SHIPPING SERVICE BESIDES ECONOMY MEDIA MAIL or if insurance is needed, please REQUEST INVOICE. If for some reason you do buy a few or more I am more than willing to make it less expensive, I can get bigger mailers locally, which isn't that big of a deal-just remember the time & materials add up but I will do it as cheap as possible 'cause I know everyone want's that. Keep in mind that like most people I just need to make some profit for my time and expenditures but am sympathetic to the idea of mailing as cheaply as possible.
International: I am on a tight time-table this round and need to get this all under my belt and out the door so the International thing is not going on this round as it is has been more time & labor intensive. My apologies to the outside U.S.crowd but I am sure there are other LP's out there to buy. If you are non U.S. and have a burning desire to bid then message me and we'll see.
Returns officially clicked to off as an incentive for me to be accurate in my listing description. If there is an error on my part please let me know within 3 days after receiving and I am sure we can work it out. Buyer pays return postage of item as it was shipped to them. I know the items I am selling so it should go without saying that if an item is returned for some reason then it should be the exact same item sent to the buyer and not anything else.
