Description
A 1st pressing of Sticky Fingers on Rolling Stone Records. Matrix A3/B3 - Absolute earliest cut nothing earlier exists. Etching 'Rolling Stone Records'. Please note there is NO mention on the labels of 'Promotone' - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Richard Davis printed cover with zip gimmick and pinched spine. And, yes, the zip is in full working order. Also included is the original promo insert and original inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In truly superb shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a few of crackles at the start of Wild Horses & Moonlight, but even this is minor and only temporary. A well preserved very 1st cut with great great audio - nice!!
Cover (Ex-) Has been cared for and is looking better than many examples from this era. No nasty marks or creasing as is common on this title. It seems to have escaped the usual zip indentations, but there is some handling wear and light ageing. Edge wear is reasonably light, but a bit more on the spine...so the text is, now, not all visible. The zip is fully operational. The flap at the top is still intact although a little worn - many have torn off by this point. Overall the cover retains great rigidity.
Promo insert (Ex) No issues. Lightest handling.
