Description

An original 1st issue of SG on the Rolling Stone label. Matrix 3U/5U. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue uncensored cover. The story goes that when some of the celebrities, or their estates, got wind of this cover they demanded a redaction of some well known faces. The most notable probably being MM's estate - her image is clearly visible, here, but you won't see it on later copies. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen reasonably light use. I can make out a few  very light marks both sides - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. It's not going to trouble the top grades - but if you're not too fussy a perfectly decent player. Expect a few crackles in a couple of tracks per side. The only noticeable interference is mid-way through 'Girl With Faraway Eyes'. The audio gets a bit crackly in the 2nd half of the song. But that really is the only noticeable issue on the LP. By and large a decent rendition of this Stones 70's classic - you just have to put up with that one issue in GWTFE's.
Cover (Vg+) In lovely condition with those die-cut openings in great unworn condition. The rear looks great too and has avoided most of the ageing that often afflicts these original covers. There's edge wear in a couple of spots - a one inch section in the middle of the top edge has slightly worn through. The spine looks fine just a bit of wear and ageing - text mostly still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Mostly good. A touch of wear in a couple of spots. A one inch side split.
