Description

1st issue of Goats Head Soup from 1973 on Rolling Stones Records. Matrix A3/B1. Etching - 'Rolling Stones Records'. Please note all text on the labels is in the bottom half - this is indicative of the first issue. The record comes housed in an original stiff card gatefold cover. Also included is the chocolate brown coloured lyric sheet and the original picture insert. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) This LP is seriously well preserved. Shiny like new and has clearly seen minimal use. Under close visible inspection i can't make out more than a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with minimal interference. The quality of the audio is immediately obvious - beautifully warm and with an honesty that gets you that bit nearer the original master recording. We detected a touch of light static in a couple of tracks, but very little else worthy of note. A beautiful copy to be sure....
Cover (Ex-) In great condition with a bit of edge wear and a few light marks on the rear. The text on the spine is mostly readable. Due to the heavy card manufacture process rigidity is still excellent. Nice original copy.
Lyrics (Ex+) Perfect condition.
Photo insert (Ex) Great condition a couple of the lightest creases that's really all.
