Description
An original boxed Decca UK pressing from 1970 - the very first boxed variation. Matrix 1A/4A. There is no mention of 'Mono' on the label which singles this copy out as the first boxed variation. This is a pre-oil crisis heavy set pressing and comes housed in an original MacNeill Press cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original late 60's Mono Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are few light marks each side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of play back. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is only minor and fleeting. The only thing we could detect was a touch of static in one or two sections. The audio quality is breathtakingly good and these heavy set mono early copies are by far the best to hear this LP.
Cover (Ex) Has clearly been cared for down the years. The front is lovely and shiny with only minor creasing. There is no hint of ageing or fading on the rear - very unusual - perfectly white. Retains much its original rigidity. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact.
Inner(Ex+) No splits ageing or marks. Absolutely superb.
