The Rockin' Berries, In Town.

1965 UK pressed Pye Records mono LP, NPL 38013.

Earliest A1/B1 matrix suffixes.

Vinyl in very near mint condition. Just one or two faint spider trace marks visible at centre spindle areas. Surfaces have a rich and bright gloss and are free of any marks save for a few of the tiniest of superficial paper sleeve removal scuffs. Appears carefully played just a couple of times or so.

Playback throughout is flawless and without any background noise at all, a real joy to listen to and a great mono recording.

Labels have a nice and shiny gloss still. Some light thumbing marks visible to the black areas of the labels, and two small penned initials to one side only.

Inner sleeve is original, advertising other Pye releases. This is in excellent condition, with two small penned initials to one side only.

Main sleeve in overall very clean and bright condition. Front and rear have no stains bar some very minor thumbing and darkening to rear. Iconic front still has a bright and rich look. No tears, prominent creases or marks. Backflaps are intact. Front has an approx. three inch creaseline inherent in actual laminate near to the entry side, else there are just one or two short and tiny laminate pinch marks. Just the lightest of wear to most of the tips, a little more so to top left hand corner, but still not excessively so. Else seams are nice and clean and without splits. Spine still has a very solid appearance with no crease or pinch marks visible.

All in all, as clean a copy as you'll find of this fairly tough to locate LP.

This is a really enjoyable Beat LP, with ballads and power pop/rock/blues mixed in. There is even a very decent Roy Orbison impersonation and an entire song sung in German. What more could you ask?
