Description
This is a rare special acetate pressing of a compilation of excerpts from "Meet The Residents" that was released as an insert in a now long defunct San Franciscvo based alternative magazine titled FILE (a parody of LIFE mgz.). I am not a professional collector or a dealer so grading is up to you. Because of it's clear format it is hard to photograph to show condition but I will describe it as not well stored. It has a very visible crease across one portion of the playing surface and there is plenty of surface scuffing visible. Surprisingly though it does not affect playability if you have a little weight to the tone arm. Wouldn't play it much anyway as acetate records have a short life when played much. This one was probably never played but once or twice, just badly stored. For this reason it is starting off at a low price with no reserve.

It will be sent by free regular first class mail unless special packing, carrier, insurance, tracking or shipping instructions are requested whereupon you will pay for actual shipping costs. As I am not a professional collector or dealer, if you require special packaging (special sleeves, reinforcement etc.) you must supply the packing material before I will ship.

An acetate is a disc used to press other discs. It's always made from the master recordings, and you are correct, They usually wear out fast.(basically, it's a very good quality test-pressing). What you have here is a clear-plastic flexi disc, and most certainly is not an acetate. Not trying to be a d**k, but an acetate of this recording would go for thousands of dollars. As I said, what you have is a flexi-disc. I have been in the record business for 23 years, and for what it's worth (not much, I know) I own this recording. It's value is in the sleeve it came in originally, and the fact that so few were made.
