Description
This is an audio recording of Tom Stoppard's play The Real Thing, directed by Mike Nichols, and starring Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons. The double album was recorded at the Plymouth Theatre in New York City in the first six months of 1984. This is the first Stoppard play to have been so recorded.
While the corner of the outer wrapper is torn (see photo), the item is still sealed in so far as the contents cannot have been removed. While not stamped as such, it has been punched in the upper right corner, leading me to believe it is a promotional copy.
Wikipedia: ”The Real Thing is a play by Tom Stoppard that was first performed in 1982. The play focuses on the relationship between Henry and Annie, an actress and member of a group fighting to free Brodie, a Scottish soldier imprisoned for burning a memorial wreath during a protest. The Real Thing examines the nature of honesty and uses various constructs, including a play within a play, to explore the theme of reality versus appearance. It has been described as one of Stoppard's 'most popular, enduring and autobiographical plays.'"

ALL SALES ARE FINAL; This item comes to you 'as-is'. I don't accept returns unless I screw up and the item is not as described. I don't sell enough that that has happened yet.
I'm taking photos in my living space, so photos of the item may have various and sundry things that aren't part of the auction.
I don't use stock photos, so the item in the photograph is the one in my possession. Pay careful attention to the photo; it is exactly what you are buying.
Used items will show some wear and tear, and aren't apt to be in "perfect" or "new" condition unless described as such. If I've said it's 'like new', then I cannot tell the difference between a sealed item just removed from the wrapper and the item I'm selling, but I also cannot call it 'New' without fudging the truth. That's true especially of CDs, and less so of books (since books don't come sealed).
PAYMENT: Payment by PayPal is due within 3 BUSINESS DAYS of the close of this auction. If payment isn't received within 3 business days of the close of auction, eBay will open an unpaid item dispute, which, if unresolved by the buyer, will be reflected on the buyer's eBay history.
DOMESTIC (US) SHIPPING: I ship within 3 business days of clearance of payment. Almost all of my items are media, and so I tend to send things Media Mail, since it's often cheaper. It's not noted for being fast, however. I try to offer expedited service of some kind as well.
FOREIGN SHIPPING: By default, I use eBay's Global Shipping Program. That means that I send it to eBay's U.S.-based expediter, and they take it from there. Your shipping fee covers the shipping to eBay in the U.S., and whatever eBay determines the customs fees for the item. If you are wanting shipping to an address overseas from me, PLEASE note that import duties, taxes, and other charges are not included in the item price, or my shipping cost. I've had people ask me to set a 'Declared Value' of an item, and I cannot do that; the eBay software for shipping has all of that built in. Please check with eBay and/or your country's custom office to determine additional charges BEFORE you bid or buy. I also have had an item "liquidated" because of restrictions imposed by the destination country. This means that the buyer was refunded their payment by eBay, the seller (me) keeps the payment the buyer made, but the item itself is neither sent nor returned. I had no idea that my item was going to be "liquidated" when I shipped it, but the buyer didn't get the item, and I didn't get the item back. If there is any possibility that the item might be restricted by the destination country, it is better that I ship directly to you, but that will involve at least $65 shipping (International Priority Mail - USPS price for this size package), and you will still be liable to pay import customs/duties/taxes in order to obtain the item. I won't accept a return because you didn't plan on the cost of shipping and customs. PLEASE factor that in before you bid.
I'm glad to COMBINE SHIPPING if you are buying more than one item from me. Just let me know. It hasn't happened yet, but I see lots of people making this comment in their fine print, and I'm glad to be a good seller and refund a bit of your shipping charge if I'm paying less postage.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS: IF an item should arrive damaged or broken in shipping, save your BOX, LABEL, and ALL PACKING MATERIALS. Be prepared to email photos of the damaged item and all packaging to me, as this will help resolve the problem in a timely manner and ensure we are both satisfied.
Everything comes from my living space, which is NON-SMOKING. However, I do have a cat. This shouldn't be an issue for books, CDs, and vinyl LPs, but if you're sensitive or allergic, I want you to have fair warning.
