I have never seen another Bowie Australian Dress Cover.

If anyone has additional information on this LP please contact me.

· Rare and Very Collectible

· The fragile linen cover is not quite as textured as the UK release but it does have a linen feel.

· The cover shows some wear at three of the corners.

· From reference 2 below, the Australian cover is smaller than the UK cover by about 2-3 mm on each side.

· The photo shows the vinyl ring wear

· The spine is readable except at the lower end

· The clean vinyl has a few as expected scuffs that do not affect the sound quality

In 1971, Mercury (actually a subsidiary of Philips) issued Bowie's third studio album - The Man Who Sold The World.

Australia was the only country aside from the UK to get the rare and valuable “dress sleeve”. As indicated by 1995 issue of Record Collector, this version is even more valuable than the UK - and by a considerable amount. Even back then, they valued a mint copy almost $1000 AU.
