Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's beat/punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/Rolling Stones, etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

PRESSED IN: AUSTRALIA .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes, it very definitely is!...with some slight label differences between this and the second pressing: this first label has the song titles, composers, publisher names, and matrix numbers in italics (plus the Leeds Music 'logo' as well) - and the second label design (still from 1965) has NO italics at all, with the sole exception of the bracketed "(I Can't Get No)" preface to "Satisfaction" - all other lettering/text is upright on the second label. Note the last two pictures here, which are of the second label design, only included for you to compare.
I have a slightly warped copy of this second pressing, without a cover, which I'll include free for you (well, it beats throwing it out!)...
Has original flipback cover.
Two other 'first press' points: the Jagger-Richard and Nanker-Phelge compositions are published by original publishers Essex Music...and the matrix numbers in the run-out grooves are: XARL-6791-1A and XARL-6792-1A .
CONDITION:
COVER: ( VG )...has ringwear, crinkling, and creases...see pix...(laminated front, matt back)...
RECORD: ( VG[+] )...has several light scuffs/marks (only)...nothing heavy...plays very well - with some light crackles and a few pops...but it's a great listen - strong loud cut is way louder than any crackling......
LABELS: (Side One: M- / Side Two: EX )...
