Description

This is the official Japanese Cine Club (Beatles Fan Club) 1988, 30th Anniversary flexi disc of That'll Be The Day by The Quarrymen. In 1958 John, Paul and George, along with the other members of The Quarrymen group, paid to use a small recording studio in Liverpool in order to press their first record. The result was an acetate single of this song. They could only afford one single copy between all of them. As of today, Paul McCartney owns that copy, and it is widely thought of as the most expensive single in the World.  It is extremely difficult to find other recordings of it. Paul commissioned a few on vinyl in the 1980's, and also gave permission for this Japanese flexi release. It did not sell in stores; only to members of the club. Hence it is very rare to find it up for sale outside of Japan. It is presented here in its original packaging, complete with blue inner sleeve. Outer pic cover is EX and Inner blue sleeve is NM. The flexi looks immaculate and shiny. Perhaps EX condition. This would be an excellent addition to any serious collector's material on the Beatles.
