Description

A Prodigy Experience 1st press by XL from 1992. Etching 'Mikes - The Exchange'. Worth getting these early copies for two reasons. They are close to the original masters - this title is now knocking on 30  years of age [yikes!]. The 1st pressings were pressed on nice solid vinyl - not eighties flimsy shizz. Note the labels are correct for 1992 - the phone numbers are pre-fixed by '081' and not '0181' - so this is deffo early 90's. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. We have two original generic white inners too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) A bangin' copy which has, thankfully, only seen reasonably light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice quite and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. They clearly did a good job with this pressing - you can hear it in the audio. No extraneous noise or background -- just Prodigy noise! It's playing clean and tight. There's some real power in this cut - enough to give you a few jabs to the chops! You might just detect a couple of minor ticks in a couple of spots [barely worth mentioning]. The only thing that was vaguely noticeable is what sounds like a bit of distortion creeping in during the high dynamic mid-section of the track 'Weather'. That's truly the only vaguely audible issue. And even then - it's not in your face. Overall - A cracking copy..
Cover (Vg+) Very nice looking, but just starting to show a wee bit of ageing creeping in at the extremities. A bit of light record impression on the front. No major creasing or problems. The interior looks great. Edge wear is pretty limited. The spine look fine with text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. No splits though.
