Description
The Pretty Things are an English rock band formed in London in 1963. They took their name from Bo Diddley's favorite song by Willie Dixon (1955) 'Pretty Thing'. The Pretty Things band kept evolving. They were a pure rhythm and blues band in the early 1960's, psychedelic rock in the late 1960's, hard rock in the early 1970's, and new wave in the early 1980's. "The Pretty Things" is their self-titled album, released in 1965. It features mostly R&B and Rock 'n Roll cover versions. They were early British blues with attitude, and some nice gritty guitar. Worth every cent spent. They were underrated and underappreciated, especially since they were on the vanguard of every major movement in British rock. Don't ignore The Pretty Things, one of the most influential groups. Fontana Records label (1965), Electronically created STEREO LP, #SRF 6754/MGF 27544. The cover is in excellent condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition. Thank you for looking. (Grading Order: Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good+, Very Good, Good, etc...)
