Description
RARE 1983 Synchronicity by the Police w/ Black/White album cover (variant #5), A&M SP-3735. Pre Bar Code.
*Finally selling some of my personal collection.
*I am the original purchaser of this album back in 1983. *The album has never been played.
*The grading is visually assessed, and please request additional photos if you have any questions.
*Each b/w variant can be indentified by the very first photo in the upper left corner of the front of the sleeve. *This is variant 5 of the 6 released with rotated (90 degrees counterclockwise) photo of Andy wearing sunglasses (with painted circle in the background) and next to woman with naked breast.
*Identifiers: Matrix / Runout (Side One, Etched, excl Masterdisk): SP-03735-A-M2-M-4 ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀᴅɪsᴋ RL MR Δ 26117
Matrix / Runout (Side Two, Etched, excl Masterdisk): SP-03735-B-M1 ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀᴅɪsᴋ MR Δ 26117X
Stamped MASTERDISK and etched RL on side one indicating a First Pressing- Bob Ludwig's ‘RL’ (Mastering Signature) beside the stampers.
*This copy, like most original Synchronicity pressings, was issued on "KC-600 Audiophile Vinyl" and while appearing black, has a translucent BROWN/GOLD characteristic when held to light. Other versions may look purple.
*Vinyl is graded at very good plus with the cover and inner sleeve graded as very good because of the age, the shrink wrap has been removed, and there are several small stains on the inner sleeve and some slight damage shown in photos.
*None of this variant has ever been sold on discogs and so I have based the reserve on other b/w variants sold.
*The Around the World flyer IS included (see pic).
