US LP SP-4792 A&M Records Test Pressing In A&M Promotional Custom Sleeve with Silver Sticker (Only Copy Known)
Ultra Rare Mispressing with Side 1 Label on Side 2 and Side 2 Label on Side 1.
Matrix Numbers in the run out grooves are:
SIDE A: A&M SP-4792-B-S1
SIDE B: A&M SP-4792-A-S3
This is a mint condition original 1979 Test Pressing of The Police's second album and is the 2nd copy I have seen since it's release 34 years ago but the only copy I have seen with in this custom A&M Promotional sleeve. This copy is unplayed and the vinyl looks as if it was just been bought brand new. Both labels are in beautiful mint condition with no writing and the holes have not been penetrated, so a perfect copy, of the very first Police Test Pressing, with the value rising every year. What makes this rare Test Pressing even more rare, is that this is a mispressed copy with the Side A/B Labels being on the wrong side of the record.
This copy came from an ex-A&M Staff member in Los Angeles, in the late 90's, who saved this and other rare records within A&M's Library, when it closed down and is 100% genuine.
I will ship worldwide with online tracking only, and will require a signature on delivery, due the rarity of the piece. This will be insured up to the finished auction price.
