Description
The rarest early Pink Floyd single (while they were still called The Pink Floyd), Apples and Oranges / Paintbox is a must for any psych Sixties collection.
This is the 1967 UK first pressing with a solid centre and comes in an original Columbia company sleeve.
Both sides play through without any skips or sticks. There a plenty of marks and hairlines and consistent surface noise, but once the music starts it is clear, crisp and loud. The surface noise is a more noticeable on the quieter track Paintbox on Side B.
The black and silver Columbia labels are in solid VG+ condition, with no writing, tears or major damage. There is a KT tax code embossed on Side B.
The red Columbia company sleeve has a few minor tears around the centre and grades VG.
A classic psych single with Syd Barrett in full flow.
Not the best condition (not one for you, audiophiles), but VERY hard to find in any kind of condition, and still an enjoyable listen.
