"In September 2013 the Nightingales recorded a new album at Faust Studio in Germany.Having been dumped by their fourth consecutive label, following the release of one album each, the group are self releasing the new LP on their own terms.
No interference or outside opinions, no label, no distributor, no catalogue number, no bar code or logo shit, blah blah.
"For Fu#ks Sake" is an 180g vinyl LP, containing twelve songs & comes packaged in a beautiful matt varnish gatefold sleeve (& inner bag) featuring five original art works by brilliant Scarborough based artist David Yates.
The LP is a limited edition of 600 copies & will be available for pre-order up until 9 April 2014, after which it will only be available at Nightingales gigs.

vinyl Grading Guide

Unfortunately I don't have time to play the two thousand or so records that I have to list from my collection spanning 30 years, although all my records are visually graded and I try to grade conservatively. However, if you are a vinyl virgin please check my grading because a "Good" grading is not to be taken literally.
RECORD CONDITION
M = Mint
Appears new & unplayed
NM = Near Mint
Vinyl has been played only a few times and has a few very light scratches but there is no deterioration in sound quality.
EX = Excellent
Shows signs of having been played but has been well-cared-for and sound quality is perfect.
VG = Very Good
Vinyl has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and/or light scratches. Surface noise may be evident in soft passages or during a song's intro and fade but will not overpower the music otherwise. Labels may be marred by writing, small tears or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.
G = Good
This record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated. May have significant surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear. May crackle, pop or make other annoying sounds. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or torn. Please Note: if you are buying a record graded as "Good" it's going to be a risk. Some will play better than they look whilst others may play worse than you expect.
SLEEVE CONDITION
M = Mint
No damage appears new
NM = Near Mint
Cover has a few minor creases
EX = Excellent
Cover has some slight wear and/or creasing but no tears or WOL
VG = Very Good
Cover may have some creases/sticker damage/writing or small tears
G = Good
The cover may suffer from spine splits, tape, writing, ring wear or other defects which will overwhelm it.
While most of my buyers I hope will agree with with my grades, I realise it is a subjective issue, and opinions can occasionally differ. When differences occur I will do my best to resolve any differences in opinion returns are welcome although buyer must pay return costs please bare this in mind when bidding.
