  This is The Nerves debut 4 song ep, vinyl 7 inch single with picture sleeve, from 1976. It is signed by Peter Case,Paul Collins,and Jack Lee. As far as I know this is the first pressing, as it has black with white lettering on the back of the sleeve, so this one is the "Nerves Record Co" one, first pressing. (Not the Bomp reissue,which is white with black lettering) The run out groove lettering as best as I can tell, I can make out 4501 and other writing etched into it, (plus the little flower symbol I think and the A with H over it?). Not completely versed in exact history/pressings beyond that. If anyone wants to ask or help clarify, please let me know.  The sleeve has wear as you can see by the photos, some staining in the top left corner. slight ring wear, mainly in the center label area. Slight discoloration on Paul's face and spots here and there. Slight bend (horizontal) but not a hard crease. Its a little more evident on the back..On the back slight creasing along the top. small tear and wear. The vinyl has some light scratches, I don't know a lot about grading, so bear with me. There is one real scratch for sure, and part of another, on one side.  On the other, there is some surface wear, and t one angle in the light it looks like 3 light lines type surface marks. The one scratch you can see in the photo is the only one that might affect play. If cleaned up might help. I apologize as my phone is lame and I'm not good at taking photos. I just tried to take the most accurate and honest photos I could. I would say this is at least "Good plus" (inching toward "very good" maybe?) I'm going by Discogs grading guidelines. Still , sold AS IS,....AS IS, but hey! It's signed, so on to that....
     I've been getting autographs since the mid 80s in person. I was just a big music fan and it was just my thing. You are going to the shows anyway, why not get the records signed? I did it because I was a fan, but DID think, "This stuff might be worth something someday", if I had only known how much). I've met Peter Case a few times over the years (solo and with the Plimsouls, I thought I had a photo with him but I can't find it.). He signed this in red sharpie "Best toYa Peter Case". I got Paul Collins to sign this at SXSW in Austin on year (see photo), it was the same year that Paul and Pete played SXSW and played together at one point.  I got Jack Lee in a more round about way,long story, and will explain to the winner, but rest assured its good! (Peter and Paul were impressed I had his signature on it) I got them all in red because the logo is red, and I was just overly particular about my records and autographs, as I spent so much time,money, and effort,so might as well do it right. I was (and am), a huge Plimsouls, The Beat, AND Blondie fan, and the first time I found this record I couldn't believe it, pre-internet it was like finding gold. I knew it was kinda rare, but I was just so psyched to get to hear the original "Hanging on the Telephone" and the other songs, (finding a second copy was like lightning striking twice). Its one of those records that's almost too rare to get signed, but less than stellar condition I thought it would bring the value up. All the guys signed it really nice by their image. Not personalized, not dated. If I didn't have 2 copies, NO WAY, I would sell it, I hate to sell the extra, but when you are in a bind, you gotta do what you gotta do, (that's what "extras" are for). I hope this finds its way into the hands of a fellow fan.
         I've been an in person autograph collector for over thirty years, mainly music,and specifically alternative stuff. I'm getting older now and I've realized I don't need to keep it all as I have way too much stuff. Pricing stuff cheap to move it all. When I say I have "photo proof" I mean I have a photo of me with them. I didn't take pictures of people signing stuff, as I think its rude, and which would you rather have? A photo of you looking like you are hanging out with the person? or a photo of them looking down signing a record? My stuff is real, I know because I got it signed myself!
