The Move "Shazam"

This is an original UK vinyl pressing on Regal Zonophone SLRZ-1012 from 1970.      This is the stereo pressing of The Move's second UK album.   The music is early English power pop/psych.      Heavy and loud, with wall of sound classical backgrounds.     Long songs and no radio hits.     The Roy Wood song 'Hello Susie' was a #5 hit for Amen Corner.    'Cheery Blossom Clinic Revisited' is a slower extended version from their 1st album.    'The Last Thing On My Mind' is a Tom Paxton cover.     It was produced by Roy Wood, Carl Wayne, and Rick Price.    The cover art is by Nickleby.   

The Move came from Birmingham, England.     The band on this album is : Roy Wood, Carl Wayne, Rick Price, and Bev Bevan.      ( Roy Wood and Bev Bevan would later be in the Electric Light Orchestra.     And Jeff Lynne would join The Move right after this album )     The Move was hugely successful in England and unheard of in the USA.      They played live in England with many famous 60's bands like : The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, and Black Sabbath.       After the Move disbanded, the Elctric Light Orchestra was formed.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is M

The glossy cover is VG+.    There is no writing, no seam splits, and no ring wear.   But there is clear tape on the top seam and along both sides of the mouth.      There is a small name sticker on the back cover.       On the back cover the top right corner is bent.    The vinyl looks Mint and it plays Mint.    The labels are clean with no spindle marks.    Except the A-side label has a name sticker on it ( the plastic label kind that never comes off ).    The record comes in a plain white UK inner sleeve. 

The songs are : Hello Susie, Beautiful Daughter, Cherry Blossom Clinic Revisted, Fields Of People, Don't Make My Baby Blue, and The Last Thing On My Mind.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.    One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard.   The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard.   Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 3 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office changes.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 19 ounces ( 1 pound, 3 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and a email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.   I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number.   ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
