Charlie Parker on Jazztone is I would say one of the fathers of the record Metronome Quintett. You must know, that this is a Swiss Jazz Quintett, playing with a Classical Orchestra (Radio Beromünster = Swiss radio) and a Guggemusig. This is one of those groups who play at the local Carnaval (those groups can be found in many countries). The record was made in 1969. That was the time when Free Jazz, Jimmy Hendrix, John Coltrane and the drugs had their influence on to the music. The Record appears as big party ( ... with 57 friends). The record is musically not so good as e.g. Blue Note Jazz records. But it is very special because of the cover and its extreme rarity. I am one of those few that own two of these records. www.Schopper,ch - our biggest record dealer in Switzerland - sell this record for $ 220. My reserve is $ 99.
