The Meteors Meet Screaming Lord Sutch - excellent condition MAD 1
I am selling off my record collection and am starting with my absolute favourite album!
It's my favourite, not only because it is arguably The Meteors finest recording, but I think that it is the most beautiful record that I have ever had. This may seem a bit odd considering that it is just a plain grey cardboard sleeve with a colour comic strip stuck on the front. Simple but beautiful! There will be some of you that already know this though I'm sure!
It is a 45rpm disc and not 331/3rpm as described on the label.
I have owned the record from new (bought from Our Price in Kingston surprisingly) and the condition of the both sleeve and record are mint/near mint. There is a hint of where the original price label originally was on the top right of the front of the sleeve before I removed it as soon as I bought it. The comic strip is still firmly attached to the sleeve although it looks like it was not glued across the whole of the back of the image originally and there is some rippling in the image.
I have always been very fussy about looking after my records, and after the first listen all records were put in a plastic lined sleeve instead of the original paper or card one that they came with so that they would not get scratched when being removed from such harsh sleeves! You can imagine how this sort of behaviour went down with my friends back in the day!
The record will be shipped in a proper sturdy record mailer. Alternatively, I am very happy for the buyer to collect for free (cash on collection). The record is located in Chatham, Kent, 20 minutes from junction 2 of the M25.
