Description
Before Emitt Rhodes became a successful cult solo recording artist, he was in a group called The Merry-Go-Round. He was eighteen at this time. Seven of the compositions on this album are by Emitt Rhodes, including "You're a Very Lovely Woman", which would later appear on one of his solo albums, which he recorded in his own bedroom playing all instruments.
This printing has the distinction of being a white label promotional copy in mono. Mono white label promotional recordings form the late 1960's are extremely rare and are highly sought after by many collectors. The album sleeve does have the top right corner cut off and also has a small punch out-hole in the upper right of the sleeve, These were both likely done by A & M Records as this was a white label promotional copy and not a cut-out. I don't believe there were enough copies of this album to ever make the cut-out bins.
