Description
The Lizerds - Is It Late? b/w Out Of My Hands - RARE original 10" 2-Sided Acetate from Early California Punk Era
A RARE opportunity to own a piece of California punk rock history. Original 10" two-sided acetate with master tests of The Lizerds' 1981 single "Is It Late? b/w "Out Of My Hands". If you are looking at this, you know what it is.
The acetate dates from late 1980, and comes in the original plain paper sleeve it was delivered in.
Condition is Used. As it is an acetate, playing it will ultimately degrade the medium, but it appears to be in good condition with no visible scratches on surface. It was used for advance airplay by radio stations and was recorded, so it didn't see a lot of turntable use before the single came out. Some fingerprints around edges and a little dusty from 4 decades of storage. Will leave it up to the buyer on preferred cleaning method.
Also included are the ORIGINAL typewriter lyric sheets which were used to Xerox copies for insertion into the single when distributed. THESE ARE THE ORIGINALS.
A notarized Certificate of Authenticity will also be included, signed by Marvin Coleman Jolley, guitarist for The Lizerds.
Shipping or Local Pickup
Open to Local Pickup in the Madison, WI area and also amenable to personal delivery in Chicago. Shipping will be double-boxed, and insured; buyer may indicate a preferred carrier - just let me know, and I will get a quote. Willing to ship internationally, but funds will need to clear my account before it ships.
There aren't too many studio sources available from California's first punk wave, especially one that is still getting airplay; this is a very rare piece from that era. Don't miss out.
